Meet Keri Roby
Born and raised in Allen County, Keri Roby has built her life and career around service, leadership, and helping people navigate systems that should work for them, not against them. She is a proud mom and grandma who believes every person deserves to be treated with dignity, clarity, and respect.
Keri earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and has continued to invest in her growth as a leader. She is a Certified Nonprofit Professional and participated in the AVOW Institute, where she strengthened her skills in collaborative leadership, public service, and showing up with confidence and purpose.
Her professional experience provides a practical understanding of both the Clerk’s Office and the people it serves. Keri spent seven years working in the Allen County Clerk’s Office and for former Allen Circuit Court Judge Thomas J. Ryan. She also brings experience from the Allen County court system and local law firms. That work required sound judgment, accuracy, consistency, accountability, and compassion.
As a local business owner and experienced nonprofit and community leader, Keri has supervised teams, coordinated complex operations, and worked with budgets worth millions of dollars. She understands that responsible leadership means setting priorities, monitoring spending, planning ahead, and being accountable for how public resources are used. A budget is more than numbers on a page. It is a promise to taxpayers that their money will be handled carefully and transparently.
Keri’s vision for the Clerk’s Office begins with a fair, professional workplace. Employees should have clear expectations, useful training, the tools to do their jobs, and opportunities to grow. Staff should be treated consistently and evaluated on their work, without favoritism, personal relationships, or politics. Training employees across roles will help create a stronger team, prevent service gaps, and ensure residents are not passed from person to person without answers.
Customer service must be a core responsibility throughout the office. Every resident, regardless of background, beliefs, or political affiliation, should receive accurate information, patient assistance, and respectful treatment. Keri will set that standard, support employees in meeting it, and address problems consistently when expectations are not met.
Keri is running for Allen County Clerk to bring experienced, accessible, and responsive leadership to an office that touches thousands of lives. She will listen to staff and the public, insist on accountability, protect taxpayer dollars, and build a culture where service always comes first.
